ProBaltic Consulting prepared project documentation and helped manufacturing companies secure funding for energy audits of equipment and technological processes under the “Auditas Pramonei LT” (Audit for Industry LT) measure. Our projects accounted for 25 % of all projects financed under the measure’s first (2015) call — and every application we prepared was funded.
Why manufacturers audit energy use
EU energy-efficiency requirements keep tightening while energy remains one of the largest cost lines in manufacturing. An audit of equipment and technological processes identifies the critical points where consumption can be reduced or replaced with renewable sources — turning regulatory pressure into a costed savings roadmap.
What we did
For each client we prepared the complete project documentation and managed the funding application under Audit for Industry LT. The measure covered part of the audit cost, lowering the barrier for companies to take the first analytical step of their energy-efficiency programme.
The result
A 100 % funding success rate across our portfolio in the call, and a quarter of the entire national project pipeline under the measure prepared by one consultancy. Companies that acted on their audit findings positioned themselves to cut operating costs and strengthen competitiveness over the long term — many later used the audit conclusions as the factual basis for investment-stage funding applications (equipment modernisation, renewable energy).
The takeaway
Energy audits are the entry point of the industrial energy-efficiency funding chain in Lithuania: audit first, then investment measures. Starting with a funded audit de-risks both the engineering and the financing of what follows.
