A Lithuanian precision mechatronics manufacturer (name confidential), supported by ProBaltic Consulting, secured a €685,826 grant in 2008 to install precision mechatronic component production equipment.
The project
The investment brought high-precision component manufacturing capability into Lithuania — the kind of production where tolerances, repeatability and equipment quality define which markets a company can serve. The new equipment expanded high-value manufacturing capacity and moved the company up the value chain from standard machining toward precision mechatronics.

ProBaltic Consulting assessed eligibility, prepared the full application with annexes, and supported the project through to the signed grant agreement.
The context
This was one of our earlier flagship manufacturing cases — funded in 2008, at the start of a period in which EU structural funds systematically co-financed Lithuania’s industrial upgrading. The playbook it established still applies: identify equipment that shifts the company into higher-value production, quantify the productivity effect, and let the grant absorb a large share of the capital risk.
The result
The equipment was installed and high-value production expanded. Nearly two decades on, precision manufacturing investments of exactly this type continue to be fundable — today through modernisation, digitalisation and energy-efficiency measures open to manufacturers registered in Lithuania.
