Komfovent (UAB Amalva) — the Baltics’ leading manufacturer of energy-saving ventilation equipment — implemented an €11 million production efficiency investment project financed with EU Structural Funds support, together with ProBaltic Consulting. The partnership spans from 2008 to 2024: from a new production facility to R&D laboratory equipment.
The challenge
A rapidly growing manufacturer needed a step change, not an increment: a new production facility, automated processes and shorter production cycles — while continuing to ship to export markets throughout the investment period.
What we did
Across sixteen years, ProBaltic Consulting prepared the applications and planned the investments behind the group’s funded portfolio: the flagship production efficiency investment, the new production facility, the R&D laboratory, export development and management systems projects — several EU instruments, one coherent investment logic.
The pattern
Komfovent’s trajectory shows how a manufacturer compounds EU support: facility investments raise capacity, R&D infrastructure feeds product development (energy-saving ventilation is itself a clean-transition product), and export measures translate the capacity into markets. Each project was fundable partly because the previous ones were delivered.
The result
An €11M flagship investment realised with EU co-financing and a durable market position: the region’s leading producer of energy-efficient ventilation equipment, with production scale, an R&D laboratory and management systems built with structural funds support over a 16-year partnership.
