A Lithuanian furniture manufacturer (name confidential), supported by ProBaltic Consulting, secured a €572,891 grant in 2012 to build a new furniture production line.
The project
The investment created new production line infrastructure that increased both output volumes and productivity. For a furniture maker competing in export markets, line-level modernisation is the difference between quoting on large orders and declining them: capacity, repeatability and unit cost all move together.

The context
Furniture is one of Lithuania’s flagship manufacturing sectors, and EU investment measures have consistently supported its modernisation. The pattern in this case — a mid-sized manufacturer using a grant to cover a substantial share of a production line investment — has repeated across the sector for two decades and remains available today through investment and digitalisation measures for manufacturers registered in Lithuania.
The result
The line was installed and production capacity expanded, with the grant covering a major share of the investment. Higher output and productivity strengthened the company’s position with export clients, and the successfully implemented project became a track-record asset for subsequent funding applications.
