UAB Danspin — a Danish-owned carpet yarn manufacturer in Raseiniai — has partnered with ProBaltic Consulting for over a decade. Across three generations of projects between 2011 and 2024, around €2 million was secured: a production and R&D investment, two employee training projects, and renewable energy deployment.
The challenge
A foreign investor building production in a Lithuanian region had to align three investment tracks at once: production capacity, workforce qualification, and — as energy prices climbed — renewable energy for the plant itself.
What we did
ProBaltic Consulting accompanied every stage: the application for the carpet yarn production facility with its R&D unit, two employee training projects as the workforce grew, and the renewable energy deployment — handling application drafting, project administration and procurement documentation throughout.
Why this matters for foreign investors
Danspin is the reference case for what EU funding looks like from a foreign investor’s perspective in Lithuania: a locally registered subsidiary qualifies as a full applicant, and a decade-long funding roadmap — production first, people second, energy third — compounds. Each funded stage strengthened the next application’s track record.
The result
Approximately €2M in grants across four projects over thirteen years: a working production base with an R&D unit, a trained workforce, and on-site renewable energy reducing exposure to electricity prices. One consultancy relationship, three investment generations, zero equity given up.
