Challenge
The company faced increasing energy consumption, rising energy prices and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Global sustainability trends and consumer expectations encouraged the search for technological solutions that would ensure more efficient management of production processes and a lower environmental impact.
Solution
UAB "AR Maistas" conducted an energy consumption audit and, following the recommendations, initiated the installation of modern equipment. The project includes the installation of an electric tunnel oven, packaging and seasoning lines, which will optimize processes and reduce energy losses. The implementation of the project activities is allocated an investment of 2.37 million €, of which 1.48 million € is EU support.
Result
After the project is implemented, the company will reduce energy consumption by 457 MWh per year and reduce GHG emissions by approximately 174.9 t CO2 eq. per year. This will achieve the goal of at least 30% pollution reduction, increase the company's efficiency and strengthen its competitive position in the market.
