Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The questions companies ask us most often — about ProBaltic Consulting, EU funding for business in Lithuania, eligibility, application preparation and fees. If your question is not here, write to probaltic@probaltic.lt or call +370 682 55835.

What is ProBaltic Consulting?

ProBaltic Consulting (UAB, company code 300664709) is an EU and national funding consultancy founded in 2007 and based in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is led by founder Mantas Jonauskis, with senior consultants engaged on a project basis. Since 2007 we have prepared 220+ funded projects that have raised over €90 million in funding.

What services does ProBaltic Consulting provide?

We select the right funding instruments and assess company and project eligibility, prepare applications, investment projects and business plans, and administer projects after the grant agreement is signed: payment claims, procurement, reporting and project changes. We also carry out studies and evaluations.

Which areas does ProBaltic specialise in?

Industrial decarbonisation and energy efficiency (Modernisation Fund, APVA), renewable energy, R&D and innovation (Lithuanian Innovation Agency, Horizon Europe, EIC), ILTE financial instruments, manufacturing investment and digitalisation.

Which companies do you work with?

Mostly manufacturing and industrial companies planning investment projects of €100,000 or more, from SMEs to large international groups. We work with Lithuanian companies and with foreign companies investing in Lithuania.

How much do ProBaltic’s services cost?

Proposal preparation is priced as a fixed preparation fee plus a success fee on the awarded grant. We quote an exact price once we have reviewed the project and the funding instrument.

How can I check whether my company is eligible for funding?

You can check open calls and your company’s eligibility by company code or name at app.probaltic.lt. For an assessment by a consultant, email probaltic@probaltic.lt or call +370 682 55835.

What is EU funding for business in Lithuania?

Mainly grants from EU structural funds and the Modernisation Fund, plus national programmes and financial instruments such as ILTE loans and guarantees. Grants are awarded competitively through national agencies and cover only part of a project; the company finances the rest from its own or borrowed funds.

How long does it take to prepare an application?

Usually 3–6 weeks for national measures and 3–4 months for international programmes with a consortium. The annexes take the longest: the investment project, commercial quotes, permits and partner agreements, so it pays to start before the call opens.
