ProBaltic Consulting prepared and supported six biogas plant projects awarded €6.5 million in non-dilutive funding. Agricultural and food-industry waste — from poultry manure to biodegradable production residues — is converted into renewable energy, cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and solving a waste-management problem at the same time.
| Clients | Six energy and agri-sector companies (confidential) |
|---|---|
| Field | Renewable energy & climate tech |
| Grant amount | €6,489,000 (six projects) |
| Technologies | Biogas from manure, biodegradable and non-hazardous waste |
| Services provided | Business plans, applications, technical documentation, project support |
Challenge
Biogas projects sit at the intersection of three regulated fields — energy, waste management and agriculture — so applications demand complex technical and financial argumentation: feedstock supply substantiation, energy yield modelling and grid off-take schemes.
Solution
We prepared each plant’s business plan and application: feedstock logistics, energy production calculations, quantified GHG reduction and circular-economy benefits. All six projects were funded.
Results
- €6.5 million in grants for six biogas plants;
- Waste converted into electricity and heat — circular economy and energy independence gains;
- Long-term GHG emissions reduction across agriculture and energy — a working example of the clean transition.
